About our Minister…. David has devoted almost his entire life to Unity. He has been in Unity since the age of 6. He has been a Unity Minister for more than 44 years. He was ordained in 1963 and has ministries in Vancouver, Canada; Australia and New Zealand; Des Moines, Iowa; San Francisco, California; Spokane, Washington; Honolulu, Hawaii; Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania; and Dallas, Texas. He returned to Hawaii to become the Minister of Windward Unity Church in 2003. He served as President of the Association of Unity Churches in 1980 and as Chairperson of the Licensing and Ordination Committee in 1996-2002. He is currently serving on the Admissions Team. He has also served for many years on the Licensing and Ordination Committee. He is an accredited Mediation Facilitator, A LifePath Facilitator, and a graduate of the Unity Minister’s Executive Institute. David has been instrumental in establishing a Disciple/Apostle Lay Leadership Program in 4 churches, which has resulted in a number of individuals eventually becoming Ordained Unity Ministers, Licensed Unity Teachers, Board Members, as well as other leadership roles in the Unity movement. David brings boundless energy, commitment and experience to his calling. His creativity expresses itself in inspirational services, programs, workshops, counseling and in supporting and building groups, teams, and networks. As a former member of the Unity Sunday School and the Youth of Unity, his support of children and youth education programs continues strong. He is supported by his beautiful wife, Donna who is also an ordained Unity Minister. Donna has served in Unity Churches with David for more than 28 years. She is a teacher, counselor and often leads the meditation at Sunday services. Currently, Donna has served as an intern chaplain with Pacific Health Ministry at Queen’s Medical Center, Kuakini Hospital, Straub Hospital and most, recently at Kaiser Hospital. David and Donna have been married for 28 years.
